Machhapuchare Model Trek route is started to provide alternatives to trekkers who are affected by the increasing motor able roads constructed in the ACAP region. Machhapuchare Model is named so because of the excellent view of the Mount Machhapuchare. Like the Fishtail, this trail is also a virgin, unspoilt trail. Trekkers may extend the trek up to Mardi Himal Base Camp enjoying the great views of snow-capped Himalayan range including the popular Mt. Annapurna and Mt.Machhapuchare (Fish Tail), mountain landscapes, natural hot water springs, mixed indigenous lifestyles, rhododendron forest, ancient caves, waterfalls, various species of flora and fauna and obviously the amazing viewpoints.
Machhapuchare Model can be done either by staying in the camping tents in indigenous houses in the villages of Lachok, Ghachok, Machhapuchare, Ribhan, LwangGhalel, Sardikhola and Dhital. Machhapuchare Model home stay has been fruitful for more than 16,000 local villagers. TAAN is working hard to minimize the environmental impacts and to maximize the economic impacts of Trekking.
